【學苑專訊】張翔今早（11月13日）透過電郵宣布將會於11月20（星期三）下午1時至3時在陸佑堂舉行對話會，更多詳情將會與學生代表溝通後再公佈。

張翔指出，這是一個機會讓學生和老師有一個真誠、有建設性及互相尊重的平台交流對最近時局的看法。

他希望討論最近社會事件對香港大學的影響，更加重要的是，是為香港尋找出路。

｜上一次公開對話於四個月前

上一次舉行公開論壇的日期為7月18日，與本次論壇已事隔四個月。同學早前多次要求「失蹤張翔」再次舉辦公開論壇，同學曾於10月22日發起聯署，亦曾於10月30日在邵逸夫樓等待張翔完結會議爭取會面時間。最終張翔於11月1日發電郵承諾將會於本月內再舉辦一場公開師生論壇。

Important message from The President’s Office

Dear students and colleagues,

In my last message to you, I promised to meet with you this month. I would now like to invite you to join me for a dialogue, scheduled for next Wednesday, November 20, 1pm – 3pm, in Loke Yew Hall.

We are in the process of coordinating the event with student representatives and will announce further details soon.

This will be an opportunity for students and teachers to have an honest, constructive and mutually respectful exchange of views about recent events in Hong Kong.

I hope we can discuss the impact of these events on HKUers and the campus community, and – most importantly – how we can find a way to move forward in hope and healing of Hong Kong.
