違反學生會內務守則及院會憲章
經濟金融學會須公開交代詳情

【學苑專訊】經濟及工商管理學會評議會（Business and Economics Association Council BEA HKUSU）前日（24／3）向會員發出電郵［1］，交代第一次評議會緊急會議內容。會上論及早前經濟金融學會（Economics and Finance Society BEA HKUSU）違反學生會內務守則及經濟及工商管理學會憲章一事，評議會決定要求該學會以任何公開途徑（through any possible public means）解釋違反相關條文的事宜。雖經濟金融學會並無受到任何處分，但經濟及工商管理學會評議會強調未來可能會就同類型事件執行更嚴厲的處分（penalties of a higher intensity would be administered），以維護各種憲章及守則的效力（to uphold the importance of complying with any constitutions and regulations）。

Dear Members,
In the 1st Emergency Council Meeting of the Business and Economics Association Council BEA HKUSU (BEA Council) held on 15th March, 2016 (Tuesday), BEA Council discussed the infringement of the Internal Regulation of the Hong Kong University Students’ Union (Union Internal Regulation) and the Business and Economics Association Hong Kong University Students’ Union Constitution (BEA Constitution) by Economics and Finance Society BEA HKUSU (EFS).

EFS breached the Union Internal Regulation Section III 3.1.1, Section III 3.1.2, and Section III 3.2, as well as BEA Constitution Section IX Article 4 (b)(iii) in failing to add「香港大學學生會經濟及工商管理學會」before their official chinese society name in various publications of their project, Budget Talk 2016.

Eventually, BEA Council decided that Economics and Finance Society BEA HKUSU should, through any possible public means, explain the violation of Union Internal Regulation and BEA Constitution. In order to deter any associations or societies from future infringement, penalties of a higher intensity would be administered to uphold the importance of complying with any constitutions and regulations.

The memoranda made in this meeting would be posted on the notice board at K.K. Leung Concourse to serve as reminders to deter any associations or academic societies from future infringement. The outcome of this 1st Emergency Council Meeting of the BEA Council goes to show BEA Council’s persistent respect for the Constitution, and all relevant regulations of HKUSU. It is hoped that Members may rest faith in BEA Council for the supervision of related associations and societies in this regard, and that all related associations and societies be reminded to uphold the Union Internal Regulation, BEA Constitution and all relevant regulations.
